SEATTLE, WA – The Thread the Needle Seattle Major Championship delivered yet another memorable chapter in Binho history. Marking the organization’s 15th Major overall, the event featured 40 competitors, including some of the most accomplished players the game has seen: three-time champion Ryan Noe, four-time finalist and two-time champion Charles Felipe, two-time champion Nolan Shanahan, former champions Andrew Ramey, Mike Pramawat, and Joii, along with three-time finalist Jose Medellin.
The group stage largely followed expectations, as experienced players advanced comfortably and set up marquee matchups in the knockout rounds. In the quarterfinals, Noe, the tournament’s top seed, fell to ninth seed Shanahan in a colossal matchup. Elsewhere, fifth seed Texas Ranger defeated fourth seed Medellin, 18th seed Ramey knocked out tenth seed Pramawat, and third seed Joii held off Seattle Binho Club newcomer Jake C. Four-time finalist Felipe suffered an earlier-than-expected exit in the second round.
The semifinals continued the surprises. Texas Ranger stunned Shanahan, the tournament favorite, while Ramey—also know as American Dad—eliminated Joii to set up a final between the rookie sensation and the seasoned veteran.
The championship match lived up to the billing. Texas Ranger surged ahead 5–2 before Ramey’s experience and composure brought the contest back level at 6–6. In the decisive moment, Texas Ranger delivered an extraordinary “Indy Special” pop shot that sailed over the defenders and found the back of the net, sealing a 7–6 victory.
The win marked Texas Ranger’s first appearance in a Major Championship, and his performance established him as one of the sport’s most promising new contenders.
The Binho community now turns its attention to the next Major, The Endless Flicker, scheduled for October 18 in San Diego.
